Music to My Ears

Lily has the cutest little laugh, but we have only been able to get her to laugh by tickling her. It always made me wonder if she knows what "funny" is.

Tonight, Gabriel was laughing, and To my surprise, Lily started laughing that same sweet little laugh, without having to be tickled.

It was all I could do not to cry. All of my children's laughter is music to my ears. This one, though, was such a special melody.

  3. Love this post!!! Post a new picture of Lily by Sunday morn, please. I'm taking my laptop to church to show my Sunday School students (K-2nd grade) Lily. I'd like for them to be able to put a face to the name on our prayer lists. We've been praying for Lily ever Sunday morning since I found your blog~ Lily was less than 2 or 3 months old. God bless. May you hear MANY more laughs from Lily. :)

  6. Wow, I have read the last few post and little Lily is experiencing some of Annabel's issues. Bipap, UTI, vomitting, motility issues...But I am so happy for your sense of getting through the day as you mentioned. I love your writing. Please keep us posted, we learn from each other.
actually, Annabel has done the Erythromycin twice now over a couple years. Just watch because Erythro in small doses can be hard on their belly. Also then they tried Annabel on Augmentin for motility (this caused vomitting). GI wants us to try DomPerion (misspelled) not approved in the US. When I read all the side effects on their organs, I just couldn't chance it. Also saw a GI dr. in Chicago at Soft clinics and he said he was part of that trial in Europe and he felt it didn't help. WE will be praying for your sweetie to be able to take in the calories. Annabel has tried a gazillion formulas since she hasn't been able to eat and the best so far is EleCare...She is up to 5 oz/6 times daily. They say if she can tolerate 7 oz./6 times daily we can get off TPN. Dream come true. Are ya'll not eligible for the MDCP program or nursing through Medicaid. I resisted for years but when Annabel was placed on TPN 24 hours I just couldn't do this with the continuous IV antibiotic.. thank you for your update.
